About Us

Welcome to Headcorn Primary School

We are delighted to welcome you to our vibrant community. As a two-form entry school, we offer 60 admission places in our Reception (Early Years) classes. Currently, we have approximately 400 pupils across fourteen classes, spanning from Reception to Year 6. At Headcorn, we take pride in our team of fully qualified and dedicated teachers who are committed to nurturing each child's abilities to their fullest extent.

Our ethos centres on creating a happy and stimulating atmosphere where children are empowered to reach their full potential. We believe in fostering a purposeful learning environment that seamlessly blends academic challenge with enrichment activities, while promoting well-rounded character development.

Our curriculum is designed to be broad and balanced, providing a diverse array of learning opportunities that cater to individual skills and encourage teamwork. By laying this strong foundation, we aim to prepare our students for lifelong success. We hope that every child, parent, and staff member will look back on their time at Headcorn Primary School as valuable, rewarding, and fun.

At the heart of our school is a distinct ethos focused on developing fully rounded, happy, and confident children who are equipped for the challenges of life ahead. To achieve this, we prioritise delivering a curriculum that is both broad and balanced, supporting each child in reaching their unique potential.

Continuous monitoring of children's progress allows us to tailor support to their individual needs, ensuring that all students can succeed at their own pace. With extensive facilities including separate playgrounds, a large playing field, a heated outdoor swimming pool, and dedicated learning spaces, we provide an environment conducive to growth and learning.

Parents and carers are integral to our school community, playing a vital role in supporting our educational endeavours. Through initiatives such as our Parent, Teacher, Friend Association (PTFA), we foster strong partnerships between home and school.

We are committed to keeping parents informed and involved in their child's education, providing regular feedback and written reports that offer insights into their progress and development.

With the dedication of our staff, governors, parents, and pupils, we are continuously striving to enhance and improve our school.

If you would like to learn more about our school or have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our School Office to speak with Mrs. Bennett or Mrs. Jefferson, or arrange a meeting with our Head Teacher, Miss Sarah Symonds. We look forward to welcoming you to Headcorn Primary School!
