OPAL - Outdoor Play and Learning
At Headcorn Primary School we recognise that play should develop a child’s curiosity, sense of freedom and enjoyment, fostering collaboration and risk-taking amongst peers. We believe that play should build a child’s confidence and develop friendship with others without boundaries and restrictions. Not only does play provide an opportunity for physical development, but it also provides important opportunities to learn about socialisation, co-operation, resilience, creativity and imagination – that is why play is at the very heart of our school ethos and aligns with our Core Values of Aspiration, Inclusion and Resilience.
