Admissions for Reception Class

Our admission number for Reception Class is 60 and pupils begin their school life in the September following their fourth birthday. 

Applications for children due to start primary school in September 2025 will open 5th November 2024 and will close 15th January 2025. More information can be found at www.kent.gov.uk/schooladmissions. Parents are encouraged to apply online at www.kent.gov.uk/ola. Parents will be informed of which school they have been offered on 16th April 2025.

General Admissions

If your child is already at school and you wish to apply for a place at Headcorn Primary School, please complete the In-Year Casual Application Form, available from KCC In-Year Admissions or contact the school office on 01622 891289 and send it directly to the school. The school will follow KCC’s set criteria for admission and over-subscription.

If you are moving to the area and interested in your child joining our school, we may have spaces in some year groups.  For more information, please call the School Office on 01622 891289.

If you are thinking about applying for a grammar school you can register your child for the Kent Test.

An information letter will be available later in the year about applications for the Kent Test.
