Correspondence with the office
If you have any messages for the office, please give them to your child to pass to their teacher via their book bag. Reception Class and Key Stage 1 will have their book bags checked daily by the classroom staff. These then come to the school office with the morning registers. Unless you have something urgent to discuss with the office staff, we would much prefer you to use the book bags to send correspondence.
Please tell your child and their teacher of any changes at the start of the day and only in absolute emergencies i.e. a car breakdown should the office be phoned.
School communication with parents will be sent electronically via ParentMail: with newsletters/letters by email and more urgent messages (e.g. emergency school closure or after-school cancellations) by text. If you do not have access to these please let us know so that alternative arrangements can be made. Please ensure we always have your most up to date email address and mobile phone number.
Payments to the school
Please can all payments (dinner money, contributions for school trips/activities etc) be sent into school in a sealed envelope, clearly marking name, class and reason for payment. We would prefer these were also put in book bags and will be collected by classroom staff and passed on the school office with the morning registers. Exact money is needed wherever possible as the school office does not hold a reserve of change.
You can make payments for School Dinners online using our secure online payments service.
You may be aware that security in schools has been tightening up and it is critical that no unregistered adults should be within the school building between registration and home time. This applies no matter the circumstances even if you are known to the staff.
All parents and carers without exception must report to the office when coming onto the school premises during the school day and only access the school through the main entrance. We hope you will understand that these measures are required to make sure we do our very best to keep your children safe.
