The Inclusion Lead / SENCo, Amanda Robertson, works as part of the Senior Leadership team to:
Ensure all pupils, including those, with Special Educational Needs (SEN), English as an additional language (EAL); those who are gifted and talented (G&T) or have a disability and those who have other barriers to learning (Additional Needs) that affect their achievement and /or well-being are supported.
Raise attainment for all pupils in the above categories by identifying any barriers to learning as early as possible and ensuring appropriate support is put in place.
Develop and maintain the whole-school’s provision cycle of Assessment, Plan, Do and Review.
Support teachers, teaching assistants and learning support assistants to carry out their roles in supporting pupils.
Amanda is a qualified teacher (QTS) and has achieved the National Award for SEND Co-ordination. She also holds the following qualifications: Montessori Teaching Diploma, BA(Hons) in Early Years Teaching and Early Years Professional Status.
